MERIT INSTITUTE NEWS

We are excited to announce our upcoming Virtual Recovery Conference to be held Thursday October 1 and Friday October 2, 2026. We seek proposals from presenters interested in sharing their expertise and knowledge on topics related to recovery in serious mental illness, metacognition, Metacognitive Reflection and Insight Therapy, or other metacognitively-focused psychotherapies, as well as other pertinent areas of research and clinical practice.

We are pleased to announce the launch of the MERIT Clinician Directory . The directory has been developed to facilitate access to clinicians trained in Metacognitive Reflection and Insight Therapy (MERIT). It is intended to serve clients and families seeking services, professionals making referrals, and colleagues interested in identifying MERIT-trained practitioners.

The 4-hour Introduction to MERIT training session will again be offered on a quarterly basis. This virtual training session and covers foundational material essential to  practicing  MERIT. The first session will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 12pm to 4pm (New York). More...
