Paul Lysaker Metacognition Research Awards
The MERIT Institute funds the Paul Lysaker Metacognition Research Awards to promote research on metacognition, MERIT, serious mental illness, and recovery. Research Awards will grant up to $5000 to MERIT Institute members to conduct research relevant to MERIT or metacognition. MERIT Institute members are eligible to apply. 2026 Recovery Conference - Call for Proposals
We are excited to announce our upcoming Virtual Recovery Conference to be held Thursday October 1 and Friday October 2, 2026. We seek proposals from presenters interested in sharing their expertise and knowledge on topics related to recovery in serious mental illness, metacognition, Metacognitive Reflection and Insight Therapy, or other metacognitively-focused psychotherapies, as well as other pertinent areas of research and clinical practice.

MERIT Clinician Directory
We are pleased to announce the launch of the MERIT Clinician Directory . The directory has been developed to facilitate access to clinicians trained in Metacognitive Reflection and Insight Therapy (MERIT). It is intended to serve clients and families seeking services, professionals making referrals, and colleagues interested in identifying MERIT-trained practitioners.

2026 Training Schedule
